The view of the city lights at night from Tantalus is breath-taking. These are a sampling of the sights. However, it is secluded and has become unsafe to remain there at night. Parking along the lookout is prohibited after 10:00 pm.

As you gaze along the Ewa side of the road, you notice that the mountain wall on the entire side of the road is in bloom! It's the night blooming cereus doing it's thing on a warm summer evening. It blooms only about five nights each summer, usually in late July or during August when it's warm. The entire wall is covered with cereus plants blooming. Fuji Super G 800, 35mm, F4, 1/250th w/ SB-26 TTL flash. |
