I do have some of the Coronation Gala Celebration held as the first major event at the Hawaii Convention Center.

The people gathered into the Mahealani Ballroom to take in a short awards ceremony, where the winners of the various awards and titles were received. Miss Trinidad-Tabago expresses her thank yous and aloha.

All kinds of foods (pupu) from the best chefs in town were featured at the various sampling tables inside and outside of the ballroom.

There was all kinds of media persons present. People taking photos and seeking autographs added to the atmosphere.

The celebration lasted for quite a while, with continuous music and entertainment. There were two sound stages at opposite ends of the ballroom, enabling one group to perform while another was setting up. Here Miss Puerto Rico has her picture taken during a quick Latin dance.
