Indoor Flash Photography
Manoa Valley Church
Here's an opportunity to explore indoor flash photography within the confines of a large, interior area.
Christmas is a favorite time of the year. Look around, and you see four banners representing each week of the Advent season and the figurines before the altar depicts the manger scene. The evening sky outside provides even lighting without a wide range of intensity between the light and dark cobalt blue sections. This yields a rich blue window which would otherwise be washed out if taken in the afternoon sun. The exposure of interior flash was calculated by the TTL (through-the-lens) metering of the Nikon N90s camera, yielding a most even picture of this stain glass window. |
And, if you want to shoot without flash, use high speed film, such as Fuji Super G 800 to capture results with natural lighting. |
Here's another view with natural lighting. |
