Getting on the air at Diamond Head Photography

Since June 1997, these web pages have informed readers from around the world on various topics.

On May 2005, Verizon Hawaii was sold by Verizon to the Carlyle Group and named Hawaiian Telcom. On April 1, 2006, these pages have moved to a new Internet Service Provider (ISP). Please be patient as these pages are renovated and migrated to a new web server.

ALOHA!

Time is too short to miss out on all the good things in life. And photographs help to capture and preserve the world around us. Whether its time with friends and families, the neighborhood around us, or events that touch others locally and around the world, photos communicate to others all that is around us.

Along with the tools of photography, comes the tools and skills of being a photographer. Each picture was honed out from each setting, captured on film and presented to you here as a quest to savor each precious moment....to make the invisible visible across space and time.

Here you'll find just a sampling of pictures taken in the two years or so that express the ways that we touch each other's lives. I hope you find joy and interest in these photos as it was for me to take them.

Nuts and Bolts

April 1, 2006

Many of the photos were taken with ISO 200 film. I usually shoot Kodak Gold 200, or Fuji Super G 200.

The cameras are the Nikon FE2 operated in manual mode, or the Nikon N90s operated in manual or program mode. Lenses include both manual focus and auto focus Nikkor lenses, ranging from 20mm to 500mm. The flash is the Nikon SB-26, which replaces an SB-16B that is in need of repair.
